FE0—About Unlisted U2D2 WebPages
This Foundational Element introduces the concept of Unlisted U2D2 webpages and is itself unlisted. This is analogous to unlisted phone numbers, which were created to allow individuals and businesses to remain reachable without having their contact information widely published in telephone directories. Similarly, the address—URL—of an unlisted webpage within the U2D2 website is never linked directly. In most cases, the URL is Fibonacci encoded and can be decoded using the Fibonacci Encoding and Decoding tool. The decoded URL must then be used directly.
For example, below is the Fibonacci-encoded URL of another U2D2 unlisted webpage. Highlight the coded string of 0s and 1s, copy it to your clipboard, and then navigate to the Fibonacci Encoding and Decoding page. Paste the code into the Decode field and click the Decode button. You should see the real URL for that page. Either click the “Go there” button or the “Copy” button to place the URL on your clipboard. From your clip board you can paste it manually into the address bar, and press Enter. You will then land on that other page without using an active link. This is what it means to be an Unlisted U2D2 webpage—you can’t get here by following hard-coded links.

This approach significantly limits automated mapping of the site by search engines and web crawlers, since unlisted pages are not connected through active links. Some pages are intended to be indexed and navigated conventionally, while others remain unlinked yet are still publicly accessible. This friction is intentional. It allows genuinely interested readers to explore ideas in greater depth, while keeping casual browsing focused on core material. For example, somewhere on this site you may find the beginnings of a business plan for the “Weightless Mass Mine”—for mining asteroids and making it economically viable to remove orbiting space debris. However, it’s unlikely that search engines will discover or index that page until we are ready for it to be found. It also enables the incorporation of optional challenges and puzzles—while offering a little fun in the process. You might even consider finding the page for the Weightless Mass Mine as one such challenge. (Don’t bother, that page isn’t ready yet.)
